A Little About Me
I've sat on both sides of the waiting room.
Long before I became a therapist, I spent nine years navigating infertility and IVF—a lot of waiting, uncertainty, and more time thinking about follicles, hormones, and two-week waits than any human reasonably should. I learned how much hope and heartbreak a person can carry at the same time, what it's like to grieve something no one else can see, and how stubborn hope can stick around even when you're exhausted by it all.
Before becoming a therapist, I also spent 14 years as a special education teacher and leader. Different work, but it taught me something I've carried with me: people deserve to be understood in the context of their whole story, not reduced to the part of them that happens to be struggling.
Therapy with me isn't stiff or overly clinical. I believe in showing up authentically as myself—warm, curious, honest, and not afraid to laugh when life gets ridiculous. There's room to swear, change your mind, say the thing you weren't sure you should say, and just be human.
